Make sure that the movie contains audio! If it doesn't, the PSP will give the message 'unsupported data'.
For best results make sure the movie is already in 320x240 format (or 368x208 for widescreen, not tested). I converted the original movie using VirtualDub with no video or audio compression.
Use PSP Video 9 to convert an existing movie. Easiest way is to change the settings of the one-click convert to the correct settings (Settings menu on the top), then select Convert, tab Current Conversion and press One-Click Convert. Select the input file, press Open and the file will be converted immediately. To copy the file to the PSP, select Library from the top menu, select the tab Split View, select the file you want to copy and press Copy to device.
