eSATA

To get hot plug to work on an Asus P5K motherboard and Windows XP, install the latest JMicron JMB 36x drivers from http://www.jmicron.com/. Reboot, and in the Asus BIOS change the JMicron SATA mode to AHCI. When booting into Windows XP, the JMicron controller will be detected and you have to reboot again. After this second reboot you can switch external drives that are connected by eSATA on and off. You will not see anything in the system tray, the drive letter will just appear and disappear in Explorer. When you assign a drive letter to the drive in the Drive Manager, it will keep this drive letter even when turned off and on again.

Spyder2Pro on multi monitor

ProfileChooser is by default only able to select profiles that have been assigned to a monitor under Control Panel->Display->Settings->Advanced->Color management. However you can only assign profiles to a single monitor.
To get the ProfileChooser to work, I had to write an AutoIt3 script that selects the correct profiles. No profiles should have been assigned in Color management. There should only be two profiles created by the callibration software: IIyama and Samsung. Leave the sRGB one alone. The script exe can be put in the Startup folder. This is the script:

; Start ProfileChooser and click away the error dialogs
Run("c:\Program Files\ColorVision\ProfileChooser\ProfileChooser.exe")

WinWait("Standaardbeeldscherm")
WinWait("Profile Chooser")
WinActivate("Profile Chooser")
Send("{ENTER}")

WinWait("Plug en Play-monitor")
WinWait("Profile Chooser")
WinActivate("Profile Chooser")
Send("{ENTER}")

; Set profile for CRT
WinActivate("Standaardbeeldscherm")
ControlClick("Standaardbeeldscherm", "", "all monitor profiles")
ControlCommand("Standaardbeeldscherm", "", "ListBox1", "SelectString", "IIyama")

; Set profile for LCD
WinActivate("Plug en Play-monitor")
ControlClick("Plug en Play-monitor", "", "all monitor profiles")
ControlCommand("Plug en Play-monitor", "", "ListBox1", "SelectString", "Samsung")

; Quit the application
Sleep(1000)
Send("!{F4}")
